This what our studio looks like this time of year : jewlery everywhere, orders and envelopes strewn across desks - chaos reigns! But it's inspiring. As we come into the final Holiday push don't forget we also offer gift certificates if, for some reason, you can't make it to the store or just can't decide online which piece is the perfect one. September always signifies a time to realize ideas that have been stirring over the Summer. Here in the studio there are a bunch of new pieces in the works for Fall. Last week when Rebekah left her sketchbook out on the desk we couldn't help snap a few pictures of the pages coming to life..

The stores are abloom in activity with the studio humming along just trying to keep up. Lots of gorgeous new jewelry coming in weekly with incredible rings being made (custom & stock) and so many amazing antiques coming & going before we even get a chance to catalog them! We may have lost count along the way but, nevertheless! Here we are at our final day of posts before we all tune to that universal holiday frequency where the rush of the world grows quiet at least for a day. If like me you still have a few people you either forgot or haven't found that perfect gift for - let us suggest our register earrings. Gem Show

We're just back from the last gem show of the year, the place we get many of the stones we work with. Walking thru the doors it's always inspiring to see the colors, cuts & clusters waiting to be discovered. While we always have to buy our staple gemstones, inevitably we walk away with fresh, sparkling acquisitions that ignite new creations.

 

T R E A S U R E

Our stone setter took over the family business from his father who started out as a bench jeweler in the 1940's. We've now been working with him for a number of years & value his level of craft honed over a lifetime of work. As we've been bringing him more & more antique pieces to work on, recently he pulled out a drawer from his desk & handed it to Rebekah saying - 'maybe there's something in here you can use?'. Later that night when we had a chance to open it up we could hardly contain our excitement! Within are countless envelopes of precious, semi-precious & old synthetic stones as well as hand carved cameo's dating back to the 1800's. So rare to find a beautiful (& useful) time capsule like this. Expect to see a steady stream of unique pieces coming into the stores as a result..
