12 Days of Gifts, Days 8-10

Almost..there. The weekend was action packed! (*so much so postings got delayed). To play catch up here's three days into one: from the top down we start with Onyx for Day 10. A bold & timeless look that pairs so well with silver or gold, a beautiful & safe bet. The hours are winding down toward the year's end and what better way to watch it go than with a hand blown hourglass. For Day 9 try pairing one with black sand with our Onyx teardrop earrings - just an idea (they also come with white sand). For Day 8 some gorgeous milk-glass hand painted cups. These are just two of a bunch of totally unique & beautiful hand painted pieces in our Northampton store - they make for great gifts.

Looking for just something unexpected, functional & cool? Here you have it! A vintage pcoketwatch. We've got a few of these left in the shops, the one below is in our Northampton store. All of our watches have been tuned & serviced, this one features intricate detailing throughout & has a designated spot for that special someone's initials to be engraved. We also make fobs for these!

For Day 3 of our gift ideas we bring you the vintage clutch. We have a hard time holding onto these and if you've ever stalked them on ebay you'll know why - they're coveted & collectible. The old adage of 'they don't make things like they used to' applies here but, more importantly - this is a great gift because it's totally unique & accessorizes so well - instant style! Below are a couple from our Northampton store & there is a case of them in Cambridge - no two alike.

 

 

12 Days of Gifts, Day 1

In order to help you feel inspired with your Holiday gift giving we're presenting 12 Days of Gifts -  both here & on our facebook pages. What we're showcasing on the blog are specific pieces from the shop, things that are in some way special & that we think would light up anyone's face once unwrapped. To kick things off we've got this awesome Bulova watch that just came in. This is a gorgeous vintage time piece - 23 jewels, a gold front & stainless back with modern amenities such as being self winding & waterproof. A cool engraving on the back dates it 1956. Fully serviced it ticks along beautifully with a brand new leather band that suits it perfectly - get it while you can. 

Sapphires!

The studio just finished a pair of earrings to match a customers Sapphire necklace they received as an anniversary present. As you can see below, the set turned out beautifully! It got us thinking, one of the Japanese department stores we sell to commissioned our Vine Necklace in Sapphires as a special order. We never got a picture of it before it shipped but as you may imagine, it looked absolutely incredible. Time to make another..

To chime in December we've created 12 inspired days of gift ideas for everyone on your list. These will unfold from now thru the 24th in an effort to help keep your holiday gifting simple & fun. Day 1 begins with our always popular Initial Charm Necklaces. These are kind of fool proof because, really - who doesn't want a simple & elegant necklace with their intials? Tailor made for moms, girlfriends, teens - you kind of can't go wrong. Prices start at $75 in Sterling Silver and $85 in 14k Gold Fill. Initials can be engraved in various fonts & necklaces can be customized with gemstones or birthstones of your choosing.

Mourning Jewlery

It's the height of Summer - the sun is shining, the air is warm and here we are showcasing some beautiful Mourning Jewlery! Though there is always the possibility to view this genre as something dark it actually is about celebrating life, honoring love and (as many of the Victorians saw it) fashion. We covet alot of these period pieces & started picking up a few to test the waters in the stores and have been pleasantly surprised how many people share our enthusiasm for these unique ( &  collectible) beauties.

Gifts, Day 1

Despite (or in spite of) yesterdays snowfall here in the Northeast, happy first day of Spring everyone! To kick off this new season & all that comes with it (holidays, graduations, weddings) we thought we would illuminate some of the gift items we offer in our stores. While it's true that we sell Diamond rings, we also curate a plethora of beautiful items that sell for well under $100. We start Day 1 with some of our own creations..

Register Earrings: When we opened the Northampton store Rebekah designed an entire line of earrings & necklaces that we placed next to the register at prices ideal for an impulse buy. The earrings have gone on to be best sellers & something we haven't yet offered on the website. These feature the same semi-precious gemstones of our regular line. The difference with these being that we don't make the findings ourselves so we can sell them for less. These start at $25 and go up to around $75, essentially wholesale prices! A steal for something that is handmade & of this quality.

Personalized Pendants: Another great gift item are these Pendant Necklaces we've started offering. There are a variety of simple discs to choose from that can be engraved with the intial(s) of your choice and, if you like, even accompanied by a small birth stone - ideal for a birthday or expectant mom. These have proven quite popular with partners for their wives as it's both thoughtful and personal, but yet so simple to conceive of! These start below $100 as well & are always a hit.
